Hello my name is Josh Marlette. The Lord has planted a seed in my heart to bring the uncompromising word of God to those in or around Hardin County.
A little personal background: I moved to southern California from Salem Oregon in 1994 to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College. My wife and I were introduced, we fell in love, and we got married. We lived in the town she grew up in, (Yucaipa, Ca) we had children and adopted children. During this time the church we were attending asked me to pray about joining the staff. I accepted, I joined the pastoral staff ofWildwood Calvary Chapel in June 2000. Assisting Pastor Chris Fraley was always a joy. His heart for the sheep, devotion to the Lord, commitment to the word, attention to detail, visionfor the future and personal discipleship was a wonderful example. As I served the body at Wildwood Pastor Chris encouraged me to pray about starting a new fellowship and equipping more saints for the work of more ministry.
This was a challenge I did not take lightly. After 2 years of praying and preparation the Lord spoke to me through His word that now was the time and Elizabethtown was the place. My wife and family have been preparing for our move by putting our home up for sale, dividing our ministries up and giving them to qualified people, getting together with others for prayer meetings for all those in the Hardin County area and seeking the Lord about His timing. We have seen Him do above what we could ask or think and look forward to the work He will do now that we have set our feet down in Kentucky.
